Best for logos, flat illustrations, stickers and line art. Photos come out posterized — a stylized look, not a clean vector — so check the preview before you download.

Fewer colours = simpler, cleaner shapes. The starting value is picked from your image — simple art starts low, detailed illustrations start high. Near-identical shades are merged automatically, so the Colours panel stays clean. Changing this re-traces and resets edits.
Smooths curves and merges tiny fragments — 3 is the sweet spot. Higher loses fine detail; 0 keeps every wiggle but makes many more paths.
Higher keeps tiny shapes (small flowers, grass tufts, owl eyes); lower merges them away.
Black & white traces pure outlines — best for line art and stamps. Photo keeps more tones for photographs.
Drops a solid-colour background so the SVG has transparency.
